Program Description Are you fascinated by the principles of how we take natural resources in order to harness their energy to make things run? Are you mechanically inclined or enjoy taking apart and building engines, turbines, and more? These concepts and their applications are part of Mechanical Engineering Technology - Automotive Product Design. Mechanical Engineering is the study of the principals of physics for the purposes of harnessing energy for human consumption. This program provides you with the knowledge to conduct the analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy. Mechanical engineering technologists use the core principles as well as other knowledge in the field to design and analyze motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery.
